YAY! Congrats again on the upcoming 100k books sold!!!! That is really incredible - you're almost as popular as A.K. Emerson!! ;)

Seriously though, I know I've said this before but it's true so I'll say it again. You have an amazing, God given, talent and I'm grateful that you so freely share it with us.

I absolutely loved the blog tour! I'll have to double check all the links but I'm fairly certain I made it to every stop. I had a great time getting to know all my favorite characters a little better. I feel as though I'm one of the Amadis now! (I request Tristan and Owen as my trainers - I promise Alexis that I'll look but not touch Tristan mostly because I fear she'd seriously hurt me, however, I make no much promise regarding Owen. I have a new found love for him after seeing his answers on the blog tour!! /sigh :) )

A rare treat of lots of sunshine and heat here in Northern Ireland (20-25 degrees Celcius). Much of weekend was spent outside soaking up the sun and a bbq as it was too hot to cook in the house. Many people were on the coast so it was beyond thinking of going there as it was nearly standing room only so to speak. Had grandkids over and enjoyed the back garden. Lovely.

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! We (my teenage boys and I) for 20-some guests Sat, 8 of whom make up a relay team, and their families. Sunday started early and ended very late...my Man did the canoe leg, so lots of driving from one location to another. Then, drinks on the patio in the warm afternoon...uh, we are talking about 60 F and those who did not put on sunblock did burn!

Sounds like a great weekend, looking forward to so...

We haven't exactly got a "hand-me-down" recipe, but we do have a recipe for rough puff pastry that my Mum modified slightly. We use that for sausage rolls. I always make those. My Mum is better than me at shortcrust, so she makes the mince pies. But we always make them side by side. For us, Christmas starts in the kitchen and it's a lot more than just cooking. It's actually spending time together.

We always try our hands at something new each Christmas. It might be something crafty but it's often a cooking thing. Last year, we did cookie mixes in jars and they went so well that we're making more this year. The year before, we tried a gingerbread house and the less said about that, the better. I'm pretty sure that "Peace on Earth and goodwill to all mankind, apart from the guy who invented gingerbread houses" isn't the traditional seasonal message. :)

The oldest "new" tradition of ours is our chocolates. We used to buy all our Christmas chocolates, and we do still buy loads, but we make so many of our own too. That started off as the "new thing" we wanted to try. :)
